Healing Community Hawaii is a community outreach initiative dedicated to nurturing children, strengthening families, and transforming communities through sustainable agriculture, education, the healing arts, and compassionate animal care. Our mission is to create a place where people can learn, grow, heal, and build a healthier, more sustainable future together.
Through hands-on farming education, music, the arts, and the nurturing relationships between people and animals, we provide opportunities for children and families to develop practical skills, discover their potential, and experience the healing power of nature and creativity.
Our vision extends throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Healing Community Hawaii aims to become a sustainable food producer and distributor, providing fresh, nutritious food to families in need while promoting food security, self-sufficiency, and stronger local communities.
A Place to Learn, Grow, and Heal
Located on five acres in Kohala Estates, our property offers a peaceful, park-like setting with walking trails and outdoor spaces designed to support learning, exploration, and personal growth.
We educate children and families through practical, hands-on experiences in farming, teaching the principles of planting, cultivating, harvesting, and caring for the land. By connecting people with the source of their food, we help build a deeper understanding of sustainability, environmental stewardship, and the importance of community collaboration.
Our goal is to empower families with knowledge and skills they can bring back to their own homes and neighborhoods, inspiring lasting, positive change throughout the communities in which they live.
Building a Sustainable Foundation
Healing Community Hawaii has completed a substantial headquarters facility that supports residential living, daily operations, and administrative functions. This facility provides a foundation for expanding our educational, agricultural, and community outreach programs.
Our property includes a commercial-scale aquaponics food-growing system and two greenhouses, creating opportunities for sustainable food production, agricultural education, and innovative growing practices. Future development plans include an animal stable and an outdoor pavilion to expand our programs and create additional spaces for learning, gathering, and healing.
We envision the entire facility operating sustainably through off-grid, solar-generated power, demonstrating how thoughtful design and renewable energy can support a resilient, environmentally responsible community.
